A welcome addition to the food services offered on this side of Eureka. Their menu has all kinds of different sandwiches and goodies to choose from. Their brisket and french dip seem to be the most popular. I ordered the pesto turkey with some mozzarela and it was incredible! The bread was fresh and perfectly crunchy, despite being a dinnertime order. The side of mac and cheese I got was texturally ideal, but the cheese itself tasted like "spray cheese"-- a surprise, no doubt. I still ate all of it. Staff was kind and very knowledgable about their menu, popular orders, and more. The atmosphere got the lowest score because it was a little grating, at best. I wouldn't necessarily recommend eating in, but if it's a rainy day perhaps it's better.

Ordered takeout on the app. Was ready before I got there, super fast. The turkey and ham is excellent. The bread is nice and crispy and soft inside plenty of meat and just a perfect ratio of veggies that I asked for. Definitely will be going here again. Watch out Subway!

Update: Unfortunately, this establishments experience has drastically changed since I posted this original review. It appears to be under new ownership and the quality has gone down-hill quite a bit. The disabled online ordering for takeout and the employees on the phone couldn't understand what we were trying to order. So we had to go.in and order in-person and wait. This was incredibly inconvenient because we were ordering a variety of meals on seperate orders for an event. It would have been so much easier for each personto.submit their orders for takeout and pay on their own. Also, the employee did t ask if we wanted out side pickles and just automatically marked us down for no pickles and then was annoyed when we asked for them. There is a major communication barrier and they struggle to understand us and it's hard to understand them. This makes it difficult to ask questions about ingredients or orders. They appear to be much slower and the quality of ingredients seem to have declined as well. It's unfortunate because we really loved this place before and the friendliness of the previous employees. We tried Sourdough & Co today for the first time and the sandwiches were absolutely delightful! The fresh sourdough was so warm and tasty. I had a French dip with clam chowder and my friend had the turkey & salami w Mac n chz. The house sauce is like a Sriracha Mayo type flavor and I am here for it! We will be back!

Ordered from Door Dash, food was fresh and tasty upon delivery as if I had ordered in person all the way in Valley West. Sandwich had decent portion sizes, no mess. Soup was hot, as the bread tasted like it just came out of the oven. Be careful with the jalapenos though--they aren't your candied, mild kind. They are tongue tingling HOT!

Changing my review from before. I keep ordering and the food is good, they give great serving sizes! I think sometimes they get a bit swamped when busy, there's only so fast two people can work. It's rough when you have to wait but the quality and servings are awesome. Give them a try :3 It's a small place and you might have wait if they're busy otherwise it'll be quick and tasty especially if you know how to order! There are many options, especially if you order online as it makes it easy to see how much you can actually add at base price. I'll keep going back and update if anything changes c:

Sourdough and Co., nestled at 2626 Broadway St suite b in Eureka, CA, brings a fresh and vibrant flair to the local sandwich scene. Known for its perfectly crisp yet tender sourdough bread, this spot delivers sandwiches that satisfy both the palate and the soul. The hallmark here is the marriage of fresh, high-quality ingredients with creative combinations, such as the beloved Crispy Crunchy Sandwich, an off-menu gem praised for its flavorful punch and satisfying texture.

What truly stands out is their bread—artisan sourdough baked to a golden crunch that holds up superbly under loads of savory fillings. Popular choices like the brisket French dip and the pesto turkey with mozzarella capture a depth of flavor that's both hearty and refined. The house sriracha mayo sauce adds a subtle kick that complements without overwhelming, showing thoughtfulness in every element of the sandwich construction.

Service at Sourdough and Co. is generally warm and efficient, with staff who know their menu inside out and are ready to customize orders to fit your taste. Taking out is a breeze, often with orders prepared ahead of arrival, perfect for busy days. Though some have noted a dip in quality and challenges with ordering systems recently, the core experience of fresh, bold sandwiches remains inviting.

For sides, their mac and cheese offers a creamy, comforting balance, while the clam chowder pairs beautifully with a steaming French dip. Just a heads-up: the jalapeños here bring serious heat, not the mild candied kind, adding a lively edge for spice lovers.

Overall, Sourdough and Co. shines through its dedication to fresh sourdough craftsmanship, inventive sandwich recipes, and a generally friendly vibe. It’s a solid choice whether you’re grabbing a quick takeout meal or indulging in a flavorful escape from your daily routine.
